Food Handlers Certification
You have an opportunity to contribute to the McLennan County Hunger Coalition’s Food Rescue Efforts and all it takes to get started, and begin this process is to take a basic food handler’s course for food handling certification. This course only costs $20 (and the coalition is willing to pay half the cost on a needs basis evaluation).
This course is available to take every week on the following dates and times:
Monday mornings from 10 A.M. to 12 P.M.
Wednesday afternoons from 3 P.M. to 5 P.M.
Wednesday evenings from 6 P.M. to 8 P.M.
Thursday afternoons from 3 P.M. to 5 P.M.
The course is held at the following location:
Waco-McLennan County Public Health District

Arrangements to take this course should be made at least one day in advance by calling 254-750-5464. The course will only take 2 hours to complete, and there is no testing after completion.
